That's it. 21 years of (mostly, thanks COVID) sh

That's it.

21 years of (mostly, thanks COVID) showing up to this place 5 days a week is over...for now. I started as a DOJ Antitrust paralegal, moved on to a narcotics paralegal with the U.S. Attorney's Office, then into Litigation Support to assist the entire USAO office of over 200 people with their criminal and civil case needs. And - poof...It is over.

I'm almost retired now (effective date 09/30) and will be trying to get myself ready for a job with a law firm, legal services company, or - heading back to the government in October.

Life has been good and weird.

It sounds cliche, but the USAO is like a family, doing the best job in the Northern District of Georgia, to keep the district safe by prosecuting major crimes and some things you don't even want to hear about.

I will miss everyone there...

It wasn't much, but I am FINALLY back running after sitting out the past 8 months with a sciatic injury. I've been using the @ziprunning Commute Pack as an everyday carry for a couple months and today I finally got to test it out running. Really fantastic pack and brilliant design overall. Tossed in my @eaglecreek Pack-It Folder 15 with full work outfit, lunch, and even a full PC (mini)! Now to test it for another 30 miles or so, and I'll post the full review on the blog. #runcommute #activetransportation
